Z-Artists is a free weekly creative programme at Z-arts designed for neurodivergent young people aged 11–18. The sessions provide a relaxed and inclusive environment where participants can explore creativity in ways that suit their interests, strengths and individual communication styles.
Young people taking part in Z-Artists are encouraged to experiment with a wide range of creative activities including visual arts, performance, storytelling, music, movement and collaborative projects. Sessions are shaped around the interests of the group, creating opportunities for self-expression, imagination and creative confidence without pressure or rigid expectations.
The programme also offers valuable opportunities for social connection, helping young people build friendships and feel part of a supportive creative community. Facilitators create a calm, understanding atmosphere where participants can engage at their own pace and feel comfortable being themselves.
Z-Artists is part of Z-arts’ wider commitment to inclusive arts provision for children and young people across Manchester, ensuring neurodivergent young people have access to creative experiences that celebrate individuality and encourage personal growth.
