Queen's Park in Manchester

Queen's Park in Harpurhey is one of Britain's first municipal parks, originally created in 1846. The park was laid out around Hendham Hall, the former home of the Houghton family, though the hall itself was demolished in 1884. Today the park remains a valued and well-used green space for the local community, offering open lawns, sports facilities and space for families to enjoy the outdoors.

Family-friendly facilities

The park includes a children's play area designed for ages 3 to 8, making it a popular destination for younger families. Open parkland provides plenty of space for informal play and relaxation throughout the day.

Sports and activities

Queen's Park has 5-a-side football pitches available for use, supporting casual and organised sport within the local community.
