Creative Care is a free weekly inclusive art session at Z-arts, designed specifically for children in Reception to Year 2 who have additional needs. Led by facilitator Kirsty and assistant facilitator Maggie, the session — titled Art for Kids with Additional Needs — provides a calm, low-pressure environment where each child's unique way of thinking and learning is celebrated and encouraged.

Children are invited to explore a range of art techniques including painting, drawing, collage, mixed media and hands-on sensory materials such as clay and other tactile resources. The session is not limited to a set method — children are free to experiment, explore textures and follow their own creative ideas at their own pace, whether they are confident in art or just starting out.

The sessions support confidence in self-expression, develop social skills through shared creative experiences, and promote emotional wellbeing through sensory exploration and creative play. No membership is required, but a registration form must be completed before a child's first session — pop into Z-arts if you need one printed out.
