Stay and Play Blackley is a monthly session run by Spoons, a Greater Manchester charity dedicated to supporting families who have experienced neonatal care. Held on the second Friday of each month at Higher Blackley Community Centre, it offers a warm and informal space for parents and carers to relax over a cup of tea and a biscuit while their little ones play and explore.

Every session has a different theme, giving children plenty of fresh and engaging opportunities to discover and learn through play. The relaxed format is designed to feel welcoming rather than structured, making it easy for families to drop into the rhythm of the session at their own pace and enjoy the time together.

To attend, families must first complete the Spoons parent registration form — please allow at least two working days for this to be processed. Once registered and booked on, a place is guaranteed and joining details will be sent by email ahead of the session. Always check your spam folder if you are expecting a confirmation from Spoons.
