Tucked inside the Great Northern Atrium on Deansgate, Little Northerners is a free, unmanned play space created with little ones in mind. Open every day of the week, it offers a welcoming and accessible environment where pre-schoolers and young children can explore and play, with families free to drop in whenever suits them — no booking, no entry fee, no fuss.
Every Tuesday, a play facilitator is on hand in the space, running activities and chatting with visiting families about what's on offer. It's a lovely opportunity for parents and carers to connect while the little ones play, and to find out more about the wider family programme at Great Northern.
Little Northerners sits within the Great Northern complex, which is conveniently located in the heart of Manchester city centre close to a range of public transport links. The wider venue is home to restaurants, bars, a cinema and a host of leisure and entertainment options, making it easy to build a full family day out around a visit to the play space. Please check opening times with the venue before visiting.
