HOME describes itself as Manchester's great big urban living room — an informal, relaxed space with no dress code where everyone is welcome, whether you're there for a show, an exhibition, a meal, or simply to sit and unwind. Located just off Whitworth Street West and within easy reach of Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink stop and Oxford Road train station, it's one of the most accessible arts venues in the city.

The building spans five floors and houses two theatres, five cinema screens, three gallery spaces, a ground floor bar, and a first floor restaurant serving food from noon until late. The programme is wide-ranging and ambitious, covering new writing and international theatre productions, independent and world cinema, and a rolling programme of contemporary visual art featuring both established and emerging artists. The galleries are free to enter and open to all.

HOME is also deeply rooted in its community, running creative programmes for young people, schools, families and local communities throughout the year. For those who visit regularly, a HOME Film Pass offers unlimited cinema screenings for a monthly fee, and a membership scheme provides further benefits and support for the venue as a registered charity. Check the website for the latest listings, exhibitions and events.
