Z-Arts Children's Library in Hulme offers three free weekly sessions during term time, each with its own flavour. Baby Book Club on Tuesdays is designed for the very youngest — babies up to 18 months — and is a great weekly session for parents and little ones to enjoy books and songs together. Story Time on Wednesdays and Rhyme Time on Thursdays are both aimed at pre-school children under five and their grown-ups, bringing together stories, singing and rhymes in the creative surroundings of Z-Arts.
Sharing a story with your child is a simple but powerful thing — a chance to slow down, snuggle up and spend some unhurried time together. Even the youngest babies respond to the sound of songs, music and rhythm, and regular sessions can help little ones build new words and develop a love of books from the very earliest age.
The sessions are also a wonderful opportunity for parents and carers to meet other local families and explore everything that Z-Arts and Manchester's libraries have to offer.
