Outdoor Art Club is a playful outdoor experience for families, especially suited to children aged two to eight years old.

These free workshops encourage children to play freely while exploring nature through hands-on creative activities outdoors in Whitworth Park.

Children can splash in the water play area, create artwork in the mud painting studio and mix up all kinds of weird and wonderful creations at the potion stations.

The sessions are designed so families can move between activities at their own pace, allowing children to follow their curiosity, explore the natural world and enjoy imaginative outdoor play.

The Whitworth hopes these sessions help children build a positive relationship with nature from an early age and inspire the next generation of environmental changemakers.

Outdoor Art Club takes place outside whatever the weather, so families are encouraged to wear suitable clothing, waterproofs and wellies.

If sessions are particularly busy, families can also explore Whitworth Park using the Welly Walks booklet or spend time at the nearby playground while waiting for space to become available.
