Join Manchester’s Baby Week 2026 launch event at the iconic Manchester Art Gallery for a special celebration of early childhood and the importance of giving every child the best start in life.

This fun and welcoming event brings together families, babies, parents-to-be, professionals and local organisations for a day of activities, advice and support. Whether you are a new parent, expecting a baby, or supporting families in your community, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

What to expect

• Support and information on pregnancy, infant feeding, bonding and early learning

Families can enjoy sessions from a wide range of organisations including TinyTalk Baby Signing, Cracking Good Food, Reform Radio, Hallé Musical Stars, Science and Industry Museum, Z-Arts, Factory International, Manchester Librarians, National Literacy Trust, Artful Playground, the Football Museum and more.

Activities include baby DJ sessions, sensory messy play, baby and child emergency first aid, intergenerational music, parent and baby yoga, heuristic play, Baby Rhyme Time, playful storytelling, dance, music and movement.
