Manchester Day returns this summer with a vibrant city-wide celebration packed with performances, music, art and family-friendly activities.

For 2026, the event will have a special international twist, with performers from Barcelona joining the celebrations and bringing a colourful Catalan influence to the day.

At the heart of the event is the much-loved Manchester Day Parade, featuring spectacular creations, community groups and performers filling the streets with music, dance and creativity. This year’s theme will also have a “bookish” feel, inspired by a national celebration of reading. 

Across the city centre, you can expect a lively programme of walkabout shows, live performances and interactive experiences, creating a brilliant atmosphere for all ages.
