If you're looking for one of the biggest and most vibrant cultural events in Manchester, the Manchester Caribbean Carnival is an unmissable weekend of music, dance, food and celebration for all ages.

Established in 1972, the Manchester Caribbean Carnival is a long-running celebration of Caribbean culture, bringing colour, music and energy to the heart of Manchester every summer.
The weekend features a packed programme of events including the famous carnival parade, live music stages, cultural performances, food stalls and family-friendly activities throughout Alexandra Park.
Highlights include the spectacular main parade, filled with vibrant costumes, dance troupes and sound systems, as well as J’ouvert – the early morning celebration that kicks off the carnival weekend.
Across the park you’ll find multiple stages hosting local, national and international artists, alongside youth performances, workshops and plenty of opportunities to get involved in the celebrations.
This iconic event has grown into a major celebration of community and culture, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year and creating an incredible atmosphere across the city.
Whether you're there for the music, the food, the parade or the atmosphere, this is a fantastic day out and one of Manchester’s highlight events of the summer.
