Guided Orienteering for Absolute Beginners at Heaton Park
Date: Wednesday 27th May 2026
Times: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm
Location: Heaton Park, Middleton Road, Manchester, M25 2SW
Meeting Point: Path leading towards the Stables and Heaton Hall
Price: Free
Families are invited to discover the basics of orienteering with this beginner-friendly guided activity at Heaton Park.
Participants will learn how to read an orienteering map, navigate a course and use their new skills to complete a gentle 1.2km route around the park.
The course follows park paths and includes a small hill, making it suitable for beginners and families wanting to try something new outdoors during the school holidays.
Guided walks will begin on the hour every hour between 10am and 2pm, giving families plenty of opportunities to join in throughout the day.
