The Buxton Sparkle lantern parade helps get the town into the festive spirit.

Lantern-making workshops take place in the weeks leading up to the parade and then residents and visitors come together to walk through the town and sing carols, usually ending with the Christmas Lights Switch On.

The parade takes place on Saturday 22 November 2025.

Join the parade at 5pm from The Pump Room. It will finish at Turner’s Memorial at 7pm in time for the winter lights switch-on.
