Get ready for one of Trafford’s biggest celebrations as Pride in Trafford returns with its ever-popular Block Party, a full day of celebration, creativity and community in the heart of Sale.

From midday, Waterside Arts, Waterside Plaza and Sale Library will come alive with live entertainment, music, workshops, family activities and community celebrations as part of the Pride in Trafford 2026 festival programme.

The Village Green will host a packed programme of live performances and LGBTQ+ music throughout the afternoon, while The Village gives visitors the opportunity to meet local organisations, charities and community groups supporting LGBTQ+ people across Trafford and beyond.

Inside Waterside Arts, visitors can browse the Manchester Queer Art Market, featuring talented LGBTQ+ artists and makers selling prints, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, photography and more. Since launching in 2022, the market has become a hugely popular platform championing queer creatives from across the North.

Families can also head to Sale Library for Mini Pride with Curious Arts, a joyful and welcoming celebration of individuality, imagination and creativity designed especially for LGBTQ+ families and young people.

Throughout the day there will be plenty of exciting performances and hands-on activities to enjoy, including Lip Sync Brawl, bringing rock concert energy and competitive camp to the Plaza with two unmissable shows.

Later in the afternoon, LGBTQIA+ creatives can join Queer Diaries: Zine Making, a nostalgic collage and mini-magazine workshop inspired by teenage memories, or take part in the Drag King Workshop and unleash their inner king.

Whether you want to dance, browse, create, perform, connect with others or simply soak up the atmosphere, there’s something happening around every corner at this vibrant community celebration.
