Babble n Bounce Middleton is a weekly session run by Spoons, a Greater Manchester charity that supports families who have experienced neonatal care. Held every Wednesday at Alkrington Community Centre, the session is designed specifically for babies taking their first steps towards independence, offering a nurturing environment built around music, movement and play.

Each session is packed with interactive musical activities that give babies the chance to practise motor skills and develop body awareness in a fun and engaging way. Built-in free-play time encourages early social development, while parents and carers get the opportunity to connect with others who share a similar experience — building the kind of peer support that can make a real difference after a neonatal journey.

How to book

To attend, families need to complete the Spoons parent registration form in advance — please allow at least two working days for this to be processed before attempting to book. Once registered, a place on the session is guaranteed and joining details will be sent by email ahead of the session. Always check your spam folder if you are expecting a confirmation.
