One of Trafford’s biggest and longest-running community celebrations is back this summer as the Altrincham & District Festival returns for its 49th year.

Families can enjoy a packed weekend of community celebrations, live entertainment and family fun, with events taking place across Altrincham and Timperley.

The much-loved Grand Parade takes place at 11am on Saturday, bringing colour, music and community spirit to the festival weekend.
Festival Dog Show
Returning for 2026 in partnership with Starbarks Dog Groomers, the popular Dog Show takes place on Sunday 28th June.

Prizes and rosettes to be won
Categories include fun competitions such as best dressed and waggiest tail, alongside a top prize of a family and pet videography session worth £1,000 from Holly Dwyer Photography.
Festival Car Boot Sale
The Festival Car Boot Sale also returns on Sunday 28th June, offering bargain hunting and community fun.

Pitch fee: £10 per car
Second-hand goods only
With nearly five decades of history, the Altrincham & District Festival continues to be one of Trafford’s biggest free community events and a fantastic weekend for all ages.
