If you're looking for a fun family day out this May half term, head to Bollington Recreation Ground for the Bollington Festival Family Fun Day. With live music, walkabout entertainment, activities for children, a dog show, face painting, balloons, bubbles and even Bollington Fire Engine making an appearance, this looks set to be a brilliant community celebration for all ages.

Bollington Festival Family Fun Day

The day features a packed programme of family-friendly entertainment and live performances, with activities running from the morning through to the festival finale in the late afternoon.

Highlights include Bollington Fire Engine, Bollington Balloons, face painting, Rock Choir, the much-loved Dog Show, The Children’s Potting Table, stilt-walking cricketers, ballerinas, Flock, Bolly Bubbles and live music from the Acoustibots, Dr Joe’s Medicine Show on the Rec and ABBA Fever.

Children can enjoy colourful balloon creations, glittery tattoos, planting activities, bubbles and interactive performers, while grown-ups can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a brilliant mix of music and entertainment across the day.

Some activities and performances take place in timed sessions, including:

• Bollington Balloons: 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm
• Face Painting: 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm
• Flock: 12.45pm to 1.15pm and 2pm to 2.30pm

Other scheduled highlights include Rock Choir from 10.30am to 11.30am, the Dog Show from 11am to 1pm, Acoustibots from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, Dr Joe’s Medicine Show on the Rec from 2.30pm to 3.45pm and ABBA Fever from 4pm to 5.15pm.

This looks like a fantastic way to round off the Bollington Festival, with plenty to keep children entertained and lots of fun for the whole family.
